Fancy Pants

Hello everyone!

Hope the start of your week has been going great ūüôā

Since fall is finally here, I wanted to take full advantage of the cooler weather to wear these awesome printed pants.  They have such an amazing and cool pattern, while not being overwhelming at all.  I styled the rest of my outfit around them, making them pop.  To keep the outfit comfortable, I wore an oversized white crew-necked tee which I tucked into the pants, adding shape.  On top, I wore my favorite burgundy jean jacket which added the perfect amount of color and coverage to the look.  To give me an inch or two of extra height, I wore my white platform slip-ons which add interest to the outfit, while keeping it simple.  I kept it easy with accessories, adding my favorite silver rings, and go-to sunglasses.  I kept my eye makeup simple with thin winged eyeliner, and also wore a pop of color on the lips to compliment my jacket.

Hope you enjoyed this look and wishing you an awesome rest of the week! x

Hoping everyone’s week went well! Mine was pretty busy with school work so i’m happy I can now relax! Today was definitely extra chilly, so much warmth was needed. (I definitely wore a coat, but for the purpose of this post, I froze a little:)) ¬†I’ve seen the whole button-up under the sweater trend for quite some time, so I couldn’t wait to try it out! ¬†For this look, I went with a pretty neutral color palette, including mostly greys, whites and lil bit of black. ¬†I recently found this cozy turtle-neck sweater which I was dying to wear, so to add something extra, I paired a sheer white button-up under it. ¬†Keeping the bottom simple but exciting, I went for these black “shimmery” snake-skin printed skinnies. ¬†To add some shape, I rolled up the bottoms (of course) and slipped on these awesome studded platform high-tops. ¬†They are from a few seasons¬†ago, but i’m still in awe over them. ¬†For accessories, I wore some of my favorite rings, along with this charmed choker necklace. ¬†It’s actually supposed to be a wrap bracelet, but i’m kinda loving how it looks around my neck! ¬†To finish off the look, I added this grey beanie which I will be living in all winter.

Hope this inspired you ūüôā – xx

A Day in NYC – Gansevoort Market

gansevoort 2 gansevoort1 pizza coffeee

Hi everyone!

So this sunday I spent a relaxing day waking around the Meatpacking District in NYC. ¬†My favorite stop would have to have been the beautiful Gansevoort Market. ¬†I love the style of the building and its shabby-chic details such as the distressed brick walls and beautiful nature accents. ¬†It’s definitely Instagram worthy! ¬†Along taking lots of pictures, I got to try a couple of different things from their wide selection of food stands. ¬†For lunch, I had a very yummy brick-oven margarita pizza from Luzzo’s. ¬†It was so fresh and amazing, a quick pic was a must! ¬†I also couldn’t resist trying some of Dana’s Bakery Macaroon’s¬†which were very delicious. ¬†The cookies looked like individual pieces of art; their colors are out of this world!¬†After the market, I visited one of my favorite cafe’s around the corner, Kava. I got a warming cappuccino which so yummy, yet beautiful. ¬†The barista made a cute heart design in the foam which I thought was so cool! It was a perfect place to stop to grab a warm treat.

While walking around, I saw lots of interesting walls filled with graffiti and different textures, along with the streets being very cool, (this meaning pictures of my outfit were a must). ¬†I recently got this army-inspired cargo jacket, which I’m in love with. ¬†I love how it’s simple and versatile, yet having many different accents including the plaid hood, and faux leather touches. Under this, I paired my trusty black high-waisted jeans with a comfy, masculine 3-quarter buttoned sweater. ¬†For walking around, I thought my new grey slip-on Vans would be perfect! ¬†I’m 100% going to be living in these this season. ¬†They are so comfortable and will go with pretty much everything! For accessories, I put on some of my go-to rings, and layered two of my favorite gold necklaces. It added a nice feminine touch to my look.

This outfit was very wearable for walking around, and ensured me to be comfortable all day! ¬†If you live in/around NYC, I definitely recommend checking out the Gansevoort Market and the Meat Packing District area, it’s a completely cool place and I will definitely be going back! ¬†Hope this look inspired you ūüôā xx

Let the pants do the talking...

Lets just take a moment to look at these pants… I don’t know about you, but i’m pretty obsessed. I currently intern at an awesome clothing boutique named Ootra, and luckily, I get to put together awesome new outfits every time I go! This one by FAR is my favorite. The silhouettes in each piece caught my attention the moment I walked passed them. The tank has such a cool shape, and is surprisingly flattering on most people. I didn’t want to over do it too much with the upper half since the pants have such a detailed pattern, so I think these layered necklaces did the trick. These pants are unbelievably comfortable and yet, so stylish. I’ve really been into the whole “maxi-pants” look. I think they are so versatile with body size and shape, they’re are so many different styles to fit what your looking for. This pattern may be outside of your comfort zone, but I suggest taking a risk once in a while, you may find a new style thats great for you:)
