As seen on the beautiful, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Lily Collins, and many other inspiring celebrities, the red lip has been a statement around for a very long time. I believe the color will never go out of style, because it is so versatile and has such a history. The lip shape created with this amazing color brings such a “pop” to an ordinary makeup look. My favorite way to apply such a bold color is to grab a simple lip brush, pick up some of the color from the lipstick onto the brush, and start creating your desired shape. To complete the clean line, use a concealer brush and conceal the sharp edge around your lip. Anyone can rock the red, if you have the confidence that goes along with it wearing it;) xx

Elie Saab: Spring 2011 Couture

As I was looking through Style.com, I stumbled on older collections by the designer Elie Saab and came across these drop dead gorgeous gowns from the Spring 2011 collection. The textures, shapes, and colors of these pieces are absolutely amazing. The technique of creating these dresses is unbelievably detailed with the beading and layering of the fabric. I fell in love with how the designer displayed the neckline of the dresses, they show off the collarbones very well. I love going back and looking at old collections and designs to incorporate the textures into new looks today. I get inspired to try out new interesting pieces that I never would have before:).

This hat though...

To celebrate the rare warm day, I decided to try to these adorable shorts I had been admiring in the store I intern at. To keep the outfit “fall-ish” I added this cozy beanie (which has a pom-pom at the top:) by Free People. Im also in LOVE with these necklaces by Loveheals. They’re perfect to layer and look awesome together. This outfit was very effortless and comfortable, and as you can probably tell, i’m very into being comfy while looking trendy! Hope you enjoy! xx

Cute and Comfy.

Let the pants do the talking...

Lets just take a moment to look at these pants… I don’t know about you, but i’m pretty obsessed. I currently intern at an awesome clothing boutique named Ootra, and luckily, I get to put together awesome new outfits every time I go! This one by FAR is my favorite. The silhouettes in each piece caught my attention the moment I walked passed them. The tank has such a cool shape, and is surprisingly flattering on most people. I didn’t want to over do it too much with the upper half since the pants have such a detailed pattern, so I think these layered necklaces did the trick. These pants are unbelievably comfortable and yet, so stylish. I’ve really been into the whole “maxi-pants” look. I think they are so versatile with body size and shape, they’re are so many different styles to fit what your looking for. This pattern may be outside of your comfort zone, but I suggest taking a risk once in a while, you may find a new style thats great for you:)
